You have the right to breastfeed in public, no matter where you are, without worrying about covering your breasts. You have the right to breastfeed where and when it suits you.

You cannot be forced to breastfeed in a specific designated area.

Several examples of situations

You are allowed to breastfeed in public places such as :

  • parks,
  • shopping malls,
  • municipal swimming pools or public beaches,
  • restaurants,
  • public transportation (eg. : bus, metro, train).
