Description of
the right

The choice of a method of abortion is influenced by your health condition, your stage of pregnancy and your personal preferences.

To guide your choice, you have the right to receive and request information about possible methods, including their advantages and disadvantages. Your free consent must be obtained before the abortion. You can change your mind at any time.

To find abortion services, consult this directory or dial 811.

Abortion is free for people covered by the Régie d’assurance santé du Québec (RAMQ) or the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP).
