Healthcare professionals must take necessary steps to protect your privacy and intimacy.
Several examples of situations
- Pulling the curtain around your bed during interventions.
- Unless you request otherwise, keeping the door to the room shut.
- If visitors are present, making sure you are comfortable receiving care in their presence before performing any intervention.
- Leaving you alone with your newborn, your partner or your loved ones when no care is required.
